Employee of the Month

LCHA is glad for Storm Miller’s (January EOM) diligence and commitment to her position as the accountant primarily responsible for providing general accounting to all departments. Her honesty and dedication to her work is consistent with the ethical decree she lives by as a certified property manager. She constantly strives to make improvements in the property management processes and going the extra mile to make sure the accounting is 100% correct. LCHA is thankful for Storm Miller as a part of the team. Her dedication, thoroughness and keen eye for detail are among the many assets she shares.
Janet Contreras (February EOM) is so dependable and eager to learn more of the responsibilities in the Housing Choice Voucher department. She is also the chairperson for the Newsletter/Annual report Committees. She ensures that the documents are designed and accurate prior to production. This makes her a critical team player to LCHA’s public relations. She is excellent at handling the clients at the front office with ease and poise that is second to none.
Danita Ward (March EOM) is someone that everyone at Midlothian Manor counts on. Her primary responsibility is for all the housekeeping activities and food preparation in connection with the clients, guest and visitors of Midlothian Manor. She gives her best to exceed expectations and is always willing to come in early, stay late and graciously helps out in other areas of the Housing and Community Development Department.
Our April Employee of the Month, Certification Specialist Jenny Galperin, has stepped up and assisted the Section 8 department with the additional workload created due to a staff shortage. Her ability to manage the many different Intake responsibilities is well recognized.

Verification Specialist, Sue Givens has been instrumental in the coordination of work in the Certification Department during a time of short staffing and through training of new Certification Specialists. In addition, Sue has volunteered to cover the reception desk to accommodate other staff schedules. Sue has such a positive attitude and is willing to do anything and everything when asked. She is very deserving of the Employee of the Month for May 2010.

Keon Jackson rocks as the employee of the month for June 2010. He is our Executive Intern who spearheaded the way in a tax payback project for five of our properties that could potentially lead to $200,000 for LCHA. He attended the hearing with the Lake County Board and was approved to submit an application to the State of Illinois. Pending their decision, it appears LCHA will benefit greatly from his hard work.
