SUMMER DAY CAMP/FOOD PROGRAM BEGINS!
On behalf of Lake County Housing Authority, and all of the Summer Camp Counselors, I would like to thank everyone for their cooperation in making this year’s Summer Camp a success in advance. Summer Camp begins Monday, June 13st at 8:30am and ends on Friday, July 22nd. Summer Camp is only open for residents of Lake County Housing Authority aged 5yrs to 18yrs old. Youth aged 5 to18 that are not signed up for camp are still welcomed to eat Breakfast and Lunch. All applications must be turned in by June 3rd. On June 3rd there will be a cookout, parents will have the opportunity to meet the Camp Counselors and ask any questions. This year’s Summer Camp is going to be conducted exactly like last year. There are specific rules that everyone must follow. Failure to follow these rules will lead to dismissal for the day and possibly dismissal from the camp. The rules are as follows:
1. Respect and be kind to others.
2. Listen carefully to directions, and obey them.
3. Do not touch others.
4. Work and play safely.
5. Raise your hand before you ask a question.
6. Listen quietly while others are speaking.
7. Walk NO RUNNING!!!
8. NO BAD LANGUAGE!!
9. NO FIGHTING!!!!!
If your youth is asked to leave camp, you will be contacted to be made aware of the incident. If your youth is asked to leave camp more than three times throughout the summer, they will be dismissed from camp. If your youth fights, they will be dismissed from the camp. Youth must attend camp three days a week in order to participate in any field trips. If your youth has any issue while on a field trip, they will not be allowed on future trips. While parents are always welcome to check on their little campers, parents will not be allowed to stay at camp. We are looking forward to a fun filled summer, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. Thanks and have a great day.
